The Made to measure Process

1.Consultation

We begin with a personal meeting at the studio. We’ll discuss the occasion, your style and ideas, while I guide the design process and suggest the direction, silhouettes and details that best suit you.

2.Measurements

Once you decide to order a garment, we’ll take your measurements to ensure a perfect fit.

3.Design & Sketches

I’ll create initial sketches based on our consultation. You’ll then have the opportunity to share your thoughts and we can refine the design together. Once the design direction is clear, I’ll provide an estimated price for the garment.

4.Materials & Details

We select the materials, colours and finishes that bring the design together. I primarily work with high-quality silk fabrics and carefully selected materials. Natural dyeing is one of my specialities, and custom colours can be developed using natural dyes to create a truly unique piece.

5.Prototype

A prototype may be created to test and refine the shape, construction and proportions.

6.Fittings

Through fittings, the garment is adjusted to your body, refining the fit and details along the way.

7.Finishing and the final garment

The final garment is carefully constructed and finished, with attention to every detail and in the end you will have a unique garment, designed and made specifically for you.
